Dickie - Many people want their software for free.

But the underlying point of this article is that all this software and automation and your employees should be considered investments, not expenses.

And by laying out $8K+ in software monthly, how much time are you saving, how much of your impact are you able to scale, and how much then are you able to earn, roughly?

Most people don’t understand that investing in good software is like investing in good employees.

As a one person business software is my biggest expense each month.

This is gold, Dickie — not just for the tool list (which is 🔥), but for the context behind each choice. It’s rare to see a breakdown this transparent, especially with such a clear distinction between “essential for beginners” vs. “worth it at scale.” That alone saves folks months of trial and error.

Also love the clarity in how your team actually uses each tool — way more helpful than just seeing logos on a stack graphic. Airtable being the MVP is relatable. Zapier earning its $749/month keep? Wild, but makes total sense with your volume.

Bookmarking this as a SaaS sanity check. Appreciate the detail and honesty!

This is great. Beautifully done.

Across a 25 person company that’s actually pretty cost effective.

Does your company struggle at all relative to communication flows and the team knowing what application gets used for which type of communication or action?

Can you please get more into what you use Airtable for? I am not collecting data and feel like I’m missing out. But I’m not exactly sure what I’m missing out on…

Dickie, this was incredible.

I'm currently building my tech stack, paying for services that help me do admin work, web development jobs, and almost anything faster. I took some ideas from your list as well (Like Calendly and Loom)

I noticed one thing you may want to fix, on "Testimonial", you left a line there: "Insert information on pricing". 😁
