🤑 Copilot - My new favorite personal finance app
I’ve recently started using an app called Copilot to track my spending and investments all in one place. I previously used Mint but found the interface clunky and the experience slow. Copilot’s app is so simple, allowing you to set up a budget in minutes, track your subscriptions, and see your investments all in one place. The best part is the monthly review, where the app uses machine learning to break down your spending patterns to better see where your money is going. You can download the app here.
🎢 The Ride of a Lifetime by Disney CEO Bob Iger
This week I finished this captivating autobiography from legendary Disney CEO Bob Iger. The book explores the ups and downs of Bob’s career, from staff assistant for ABC to the CEO of Disney, striking the balance of an awesome story while still sharing valuable leadership lessons. The best parts were Iger’s stories about acquiring Pixar and becoming best friends with Steve Jobs, something I never knew! If you are looking for a story that is hard to put down, this book is for you. You can see my notes and takeaways here.
📱 Hands-On With iOS 14: Everything New
I am a sucker for an Apple keynote. I love to explore the new features of iOS right when they come out, and this year’s upgrades are game-changers. New app widgets will change the home screen and make it much more useful. Siri has been reinvented to be much less intrusive and more user-friendly. Airpods will now automatically switch between your iPhone, Mac, and iPad when you pick up a different device. There’s a ton more in this update, and you can watch this video to see them all.
🎧 This Week in Podcasts
I’ve started to write tweet-threads breaking down the best podcasts I’ve listened to each week. This week, I took notes on five epic episodes from five different podcasts. Instead of breaking down each one in the Digest, I will start to link to the tweet threads that you can explore if they sound interesting.
