🎧 Alex Lieberman on the Creator Lab Podcast. Another fire episode of the Creator Lab podcast, this time with Morning Brew CEO Alex Lieberman. Alex and Bilal talk about the Audience Funnel, building and scaling Morning Brew, monetizing as a creator, and even Ship 30 for 30 got a shoutout.
🎧 😇 Happiness by Naval Ravikant. Revisited this 28-minute podcast from Naval this week to refresh my perspective. Two good reminders: happiness is a skill and desire is a contract you make to be unhappy until you get what you want. Naval’s pillars of being fit, wealthy, and calm resonate with me because I think they happen in that order.
📖 ✍🏼 Writing Simply by Paul Graham. In his usual fashion, Paul Graham says more with less in this article. Writing simply is more considerate to your reader and requires more thinking from the writer. “Not only does fancy writing conceal ideas, if conceals a lack of them. That why some people write this way, to conceal the fact that they have nothing to say. Also, check out Writing, Briefly and How to Write Usefully.
🎧 💵 The Modern Finance (MoFi) Podcast with Kevin Rose. I’m excited about this new podcast from Kevin Rose. The tagline is “covering all things cryptocurrency, DeFi, yield farming, NFTs, FIRE, robo-investing, and personal finance hacks.” I’m interested in just about every one of those things, and Kevin Rose isn’t some crypto zealot either. The first episode on NFTs is a gem.
👖💵 Public Rec All Day Every Day Jogger. I picked up a pair of these joggers after hearing Pomp talk about them on his podcast. Most comfortable sweatpants I’ve ever purchased. But they also still look formal enough to wear to a restaurant or to play golf. Highly recommend.
