Dickie's Digest - The Future, WFH, and What We Must Do
Friends,
Let me start by saying how grateful I am that you’re reading this during what is quickly becoming a confusing, difficult, and stressful time for everyone. My thoughts are that nearly everyone reading this today have three things in common. First, we are are all a mixture of curious, confused, and concerned regarding COVID-19 and its potential impact on our lives and the lives of our loved ones. Second, we are all likely about to spend much more time at home than we normally do, and we’re not quite sure what to do with all of it. And finally, we are all thinking about how this will change our lives going forward across a variety of different aspects.
In this week’s digest, I want to provide the resources I’ve found most prevalent, useful, and interesting regarding those three concerns. The format will simply be hyperlinks with small blurbs about what you’ll find inside. My hope is that throughout the next week, you’ll find yourself periodically returning to this edition to explore some new ideas.
Finally, take some time to reflect during these turbulent times. Very rarely can we say we are in the midst of a decade-defining event. Capture some thoughts on what you’re seeing, what you’re learning, and what you’re feeling— you’ll be glad you did when you look back on this time in the future. I tried to crystallize a few of the things I’ve noticed in this blog post 10 Lessons from a Historic Week and the shortened version in this tweet thread. Check it out if you have some extra time this week.
Thanks to those of you who signed up over the past few days — here is this week’s edition of the Digest. As always, reach out if you find anything particularly interesting. Have a safe and epic week.
